An Evening of Poetry with Catherine Moore and Sandy Coomer

Please join us for a wonderful evening of poetry with two immensely talented poets, Catherine Moore and Sandy Coomer.

Catherine Moore is the author of three chapbooks and the poetry collection ULLA! ULLA! (Main Street Rag). Her work appears in Tahoma Literary Review, Caesura, Southampton Review, Mid-American Review, Appalachian Heritage, Cider Press Review and various anthologies. She’s been awarded a Walker Percy and a Hambidge fellowship, her honors also include the Southeast Review’s Gearhart Poetry Prize, a Nashville MetroArts Grant, inclusion in the juried “Best Small Fictions of 2015” and several Pushcart nominations. Catherine holds a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing and she teaches at a community college.

Sandy Coomer is a poet, artist, and endurance athlete living in Brentwood, TN. Twice nominated for the Pushcart Prize, her poetry has been published or is forthcoming in journals such as Sheila-Na-Gig, Mud Season Review, BlazeVOX, and The Comstock Review, among others. She is the author of three poetry chapbooks, including the most recent, Rivers Within Us (Unsolicited Press). She is the founding editor of the online poetry journal, Rockvale Review, the creator and curator of the Ekphrastic poetry project 20/20 Vision: A Poetic Response to Photography, as well as a poetry mentor in the AWP Writer to Writer Mentorship Program. Sandy is the founder and director of the soon-to-open Rockvale Writers’ Colony located in College Grove, TN. Her favorite word is “Believe.”
